A plumber’s, electrician’s or tradesperson’s website has to make three things clear at once: what you do, which areas you cover and how to call you. Someone searching for a plumber often has an emergency: they open Google on their phone and call the first one who looks reliable. So you need a number that can be called with one tap, the areas you serve written out with the names of the towns, real photos of jobs and reviews. A brochure site usually costs €800 to €2,500.
I’m Toure Tia Kevin, a web developer in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. I build websites for local businesses, designed to be found by people searching in their area.
What a tradesperson’s website needs
- A phone number that’s always visible, callable with one tap, and a WhatsApp button.
- Services listed clearly: one page per major job (boilers, electrical systems, windows and doors, renovations), with what it includes and who it’s for.
- Areas served: the towns you work in, written in full. Someone searching “electrician Thiene” is searching for exactly that name.
- Emergency callouts, if you offer them, with hours and realistic arrival times.
- Real photos of jobs, before and after, better than stock images.
- Reviews from real customers and certifications: qualifications, registrations, guarantees on the work.
- A quote request with a short form: what’s needed, where, how to get in touch.
Why reviews matter
For a service at people’s homes, trust decides. A Google listing with dozens of recent reviews and well-kept replies convinces more than any text. Ask satisfied customers for a review at the end of the job, with a direct link sent by WhatsApp.
Getting found locally
Searches are local: “plumber near me”, “electrician + town”. What counts is the Google Business listing with the right categories and service area, the site with a page for each job and for each main area, and contact details that are identical everywhere. Area pages must really be written for that area, not copied with the town name swapped: Google notices.
What it costs
A brochure site for a tradesperson usually costs €800 to €2,500. For someone starting from scratch who wants a simple solution, a well-made site of a few pages is often enough. The price details are in how much a website costs.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a site if I already have the Google listing?
The listing brings calls from Maps; the site explains the services, shows the jobs and gets you found for searches the listing doesn’t cover. Together they work better.
Can I show prices?
If the work is standard, showing a “from” price cuts enquiries that go nowhere. For made-to-measure jobs, just explain how the quote works.
